Twilight’s Mackenzie Foy, 19, is all grown up in artsy photoshoot for Flaunt magazine

She is best known for her role as the child of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, Renesmee, in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2.

But Mackenzie Foy is all grown up and no longer needs the Cullen family members to protect her.

The 19-year-old star is featured on the digital cover of the latest ‘chaos and calm’ issue of Flaunt magazine.

In the artsy shoot done by photographer Noah Dillon, Foy got to wear high fashion pieces from Chanel’s Fall-Winter 2020 range.

Mackenzie has enjoyed a successful career since her days of starring in the highly-successful Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart series as  is starring in the upcoming film adaptation of Anna Seywell’s 1877 novel Black Beauty.

She stars as 17-year-old protagonist Jo Green in the second film adaptation of the book – the first was released in July 1994 – who grieves the death of her parents by forging an unbreakable bond with a wild horse voiced by Kate Winslet.

It seems as if working on the project has already had a great effect on her life as she now has a passion for riding horses as she said: ‘I’m obsessed now. I’ve been riding every week.’

The new adaptation – which releases on Disney+ on November 27 – was written and directed by Ashley Avis, 33, who is best known for her work as director of 2018’s Adolescence.

Avis said that she was awestruck by Foy’s performance in 2014’s Interstellar and was moved enough to cast her in Black Beauty as she said: ‘I immediately said, “Oh my God, it’s Jo, that’s Jo!”

‘And then I was just so excited and relieved when she said yes, because there really was nobody else.’ 

Mackenzie was lucky enough to wear several pieces from Chanel’s latest range for the accompanying photoshoot as she was styled by Jill London and Jordan Johnson.

She posed up for several artsy snaps on location at Los Angeles boutique hotel The James Hollywood.

The star’s first big break was starring as Renesmee Carlie Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2 which were released in 2011 and 2012, respectively.

She went on to star alongside Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as Cindy in hit horror film The Conjuring in 2013.

Foy then portrayed the 10-year-old version of Murph in 2015 Christopher Nolan  flick Interstellar. 

More recently she was the lead, Clara, in 2018 adventure film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.

Black Beauty directed by Avis and starring Foy and Winslet is set to stream on Disney+ beginning November 27.
