Harry Potter hunk Matthew Lewis looks worlds away from his days playing nerdy Neville Longbottom as he surfaces on Australian television
He famously played gawky young wizard Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter film series, before sending fans wild with his hunky transformation years later.
And Matthew Lewis, 31, proved he’s looking handsome as ever after surfacing on Australian television for an interview with Nine’s Today Extra on Wednesday.

During the interview, Matthew discussed what it was like to grow up playing Neville, and how he was forced to wear false teeth and a fat suit to make himself appear uglier in Harry Potter’s later films.
‘I didn’t wear anything [prosthetic] in the first couple of films. And then I think I came back from, like a growth spurt in film 3 and [producers] said ‘OK, we’ll have to do something about this.”
‘And that’s when they came up with the idea of the false teeth and bits of plastic to stick my ears out and a fat suit I had to wear for several years,’ he admitted.

Matthew also revealed he’s maintained a close friendship with his fellow former cast-mates since departing the franchise nine years ago.
While there has been no official word about a cast reunion, Matthew said that he and his former co-stars would be very interested in participating.
‘I’m almost certain that if the question was posed to anyone, we’d be very, very interested in the idea,’ he insisted.
