Jacqueline Jossa admits it’s frustrating being asked how she stays positive as a ‘bigger girl’

‘I’ve got rolls but I’m not unhappy!’ Jacqueline Jossa admits it’s frustrating being asked how she stays positive as a ‘bigger girl’… and says it’s ‘insulting’ men aren’t asked the same questions

Jacqueline Jossa has aired her frustration after repeatedly being asked how she manages to keep a positive attitude as a ‘bigger girl’.

The I’m A Celebrity winner, 27, revealed that while she is all for body positivity, she doesn’t understand why she is always ‘congratulated’ for her happy demeanour.

The mother-of-two also said it is annoying that men don’t get quizzed about how they feel about their weight, whether or not they have a six-pack.

The former EastEnders star took to Instagram Stories and said: ‘I just want to quickly say something that’s been annoying me for a little while.

‘When I do an interview at the moment all that people bring up is like you’re such an inspiration for the bigger girl and I’m absolutely happy for that, love it, no problem at all.

‘But it’s kind of insulting because they’re like ‘how do you stay so positive, body confident and look like that?’ is basically what they are saying to me.

‘I’m like nooooo, you can’t say that.’

She then went on to discuss how it is irritating that men with fuller figures in the industry to not get asked about their weight.

She continued: ‘Do you go up to a male actor or reality person that’s not got a 12 pack and then say ‘go you, well done you for just being happy and confident even though you look like that’ – they don’t get told.

‘Being a man in this industry, they don’t get congratulated for being themselves.’

Jacqueline revealed: ‘Sure I’ve got rolls but I’m not unhappy with my body. I am positive and I do think size doesn’t matter.

‘It seems to be in an interview, they would never ask a man – it always seems like a woman thing about women empowerment and body confidence, it’s a weird thing.’

She then mimicked Gemma Collins and joked: ‘I just wanna be me!’

Her rant comes after she revealed she has started a 1,200 calorie-per day diet in order to ‘get fit’ and feel like she is ‘on the ball’.

Jacqueline added that her incentive isn’t to lose weight, however she added that she ‘wouldn’t mind’ if that happened as well.

She said: ‘I’m having those thoughts of I need to start doing a bit for me and I’m going to try and go for walks and maybe do some exercise.

‘And no, before everyone pipes up it’s not to necessarily lose weight, I wouldn’t mind it but it is more just to know that you’re doing something.

‘Because work-wise I’m feeling really good, I’m busy I’m on the ball and I just want to maintain that and I feel like getting on the ball with it now, it’s got to be done.’

Jacqueline recently admitted she is ‘torn’ about having another baby with husband Dan Osborne, 29, who she already shares daughters Ella, five, and Mia, two, with.
