Vogue Williams demonstrated the lifesaving stop, drop and roll fire safety technique on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Wednesday.

As part of a discussion about keeping children safe this Halloween, mother-of-two Vogue, 35,  showed viewers how to Stop, Drop and Roll to put out flames on clothing.

The star looked undeniably stylish in a vibrant pink and purple dress by Hayley Menzies, paired with black tights and silver studded ankle boots.

An officer from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: ‘We’re trying to educate and get that message out there of Stop, Drop and Roll, which is an emergency action.

‘If your clothes do set on fire, these three actions can really prevent that fire from spreading quickly.’

Vogue then stood up and dropped to the floor as fire safety officer Steve Jones said: ‘The natural reaction is to panic and to run and to try and pat it [fire] out with your hands. But then you’re transferring that onto the palms of your hands…

‘Our advice is to stop running and it’s against everything you’ll want to do. But you’ve got to stop. And then very very quickly, we want you to drop down onto the floor, face down with your hands above your head…

‘And then you’re going to roll really quickly and you’re going to keep on rolling. If you end up hitting a wall, you’re going to come back again. Keep on doing that until all the flames are extinguished.’

Vogue rolled back and forth in the studio as laughter burst out with host Steph McGovern saying: ‘It looks funny, but this is actually really lifesaving and if this ever happens, this is really key – Stop, Drop and Roll.’

The outing comes after she spoke of her sadness that her late father wasn’t alive to meet the two young children she shares with husband Spencer Matthews, 32.

The TV presenter’s father passed away aged 68 from a stroke in 2010 after going to hospital to remove an aneurysm.

Speaking on The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTE Radio 1, Vogue said she ‘still thinks about him probably everyday’.

She it would have been ‘amazing’ for her father to get to meet her children, adding that most of her extended family have not met daughter Gigi.

She said: ‘A friend of mine just lost her mom recently, and I said to her, that it is really hard now. But eventually, you get to a point where you just think really fondly of them.

‘Most of my family haven’t met her either, because she was born during lockdown. My mum has met her, my stepdad has met her and that is kind of it with my whole family.’

‘No, we aren’t moving home but we have wanted a bigger space in Dublin for a long time. Now we can all fit and hopefully spend a little more time in Ireland.’

Vogue and Spencer, who married in July 2018, bought their trendy London pad back in 2017.
