Justin Theroux drops his absentee ballot in a mailbox ahead of the election: ‘Voting is epic’

More than 50 million people have already cast their ballots in the 2020 general election, CNN reported on Friday. 

And with a week and a half left until Election Day on November 3, Justin Theroux joined the masses of voters as he sent in his absentee ballot. 

The actor, 49, shared his journey to his Instagram Stories writing ‘Voting is epic.’

The Parks & Rec actor shared a selfie with his mail-in ballot covering half of his face. 

He wore a disposable face mask as the coronavirus pandemic continues see spikes across the country. 

Justin also wore a wide brimmed fedora as he braved the wet streets of New York City. 

In the video he showed himself sliding the ballot into a blue USPS mailbox.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic limiting the number of people who can be in a room, and within six feet of each other, most states of broadly adopted voting by mail to allow people to participate in the election.  

Recent estimates have suggested 50% of voters will cast their vote by mail for the election, according to CNET.

Reports on Friday noted that over 50m voters have already cast their ballot in the contentious general election. 

With 11 days left until Election Day, USA Today reported that this year may be on track for the highest voter turnout in over a century, with 62% or 150m voting. 

Justin’s ex-wife, from 2015 until 2017, and friend Jennifer Aniston also shared that she cast her ballot in an Instagram post on Friday. 

The Friends star urged her followers to vote for Joe Biden saying: ‘This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world,’ though Justin didn’t reveal his choice.

‘Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency,’ Jen, 51, went on.

The Morning Show star proudly declared her choice, writing: ‘#IVOTED for @joebiden and @kamalaharris.’

‘I dropped my ballot off, and I did it early,’ she told wrote. ‘I voted for them because right now this country is more divided than ever.’

The actress added at the end of her post: ‘PS – It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible.’
