Shocking footage has emerged of an Amazon warehouse worker gleefully ramming parcels into metal cages and sniggering as they are bent or damaged.

The man tells viewers in a post on Instagram: ‘You better believe, if you ever order from Amazon and your parcel comes f****d, Just know, innit – I f****d it up!’

As he speaks, he forcefully shoves a parcel into a small metal sorting cage, causing it to bend, then picks up another from a large plastic trolley and repeats the action, shouting ‘Get in there!’ as another possible Christmas gift is damaged.

The video, posted on Instagram, begins with footage of a man in an orange vest sorting through parcels.

It is not clear if this is the same man who is then seen shoving parcels roughly into the cage in the unknown warehouse.

The footage will be hugely embarrassing for Amazon as customers turn to them increasingly with the second lockdown in place and the busy Christmas season approaching.

The incident comes only two days after a driver for parcel courier Hermes was sacked after being filmed throwing parcels he’d collected from a Co-op Store in Gloucester into his truck as hard as he could.

Hermes said the man was an agency driver who was ‘removed from the business’.

In other stories on the Instagram account, a man is seen arriving for work at Amazon, and approaching his locker with the words ‘Back at it again, here we go, hello baby!’
