Kate Beckinsale looks back on ‘simpler times’ as she shares a childhood throwback photo

And Kate Beckinsale looked back on ‘simpler times’ as she shared a throwback childhood photo on the social media platform on Monday. 

The actress, 47, made her followers laugh as she joked about the size of her ‘adult teeth’ in the cute photo. 

She penned: ‘Oh simpler times. I had no idea my adult teeth would grow to capybara level and totally overwhelm my face until my head finally grew in at the age of 37.’

In the picture, Kate can be seen to be grinning as she wore a bright red top. 

Kate, who was sporting a full fringe was also dressed in a bright green pinafore. 

At the end of last month, Kate encouraged her American fans to get out and vote in the election, despite being British born. 

Finding a novel way to tell her followers to have their say, she posed in a custom gold ‘VOTE’ bra in a series of snaps on her Instagram on October 30. 

Kate posed up a storm beside the fireplace in the unique garment, which she wore with a black crop top, glitzy gloves and cream wide-legged trousers.  

Her eye-catching ensemble showcased her washboard abs, which were on full display thanks to her statement bra.

She wore her brunette locks in a bouncy voluminous style and sported a full face of make-up for the impromptu photo shoot at home.

Kate even playfully warned her fans not to stand too close to an open fire while wearing a metal bra.  

She captioned the sizzling snaps: ‘I can’t vote due to being British but I CAN wear a custom golden VOTE bra and encourage you to. 

‘In fact please vote on my behalf. If the voter registration deadline has passed, you can still register to vote in person at a designated Election Day Registration office. 

‘Contact your Local Election Office if you have any questions. Check your state for details. 

‘Also do not wear a metal bra next to an open fire for an extended period of time.’ 

Michael Sheen has recently opened up about his 2002 split from Kate, admitting he was forced to the return to Britain as she remained in the US with their daughter.

The Welsh actor, 51, and London-born Kate, 47, went their separate ways after seven years together, but the split was made all the more complicated because they’d only recently settled in the US with their daughter Lily, now 21.

Speaking on the podcast Changes With Annie Macmanus, he said: ‘Going through that experience of a relationship breaking down and having a young child, and then because of my daughter and her mum living in another country, having to make a life in a new place whilst going through that whole experience which is difficult enough.

‘I had no work visa to stay in America, so every time I left, I had to go back to Britain. I never knew if I would be allowed to come back in again.

‘So, I ended up having to get work in Britain because I wasn’t really getting any work in America. It really made me question certain things about myself.’
