The Block’s real estate agents hint at celebrity interest in the properties after comedian Dave Hughes famously bought one of the houses
There is plenty of interest in each of the homes on The Block this season.
And the real estate agents tasked with auctioning off the properties say there could be celebrity buyers looking to snap up one of the houses.
Whitefox Real Estate agent Lana Samuels, who will auction off the 1920s-inspired property developed by father-daughter team Harry and Tash, told Domain the home has had plenty of interest from young families, couples and investors.

She told the publication that while she has yet to receive inquires celebrity buyers, it is still ‘early days’ before auction day on November 22.
‘You don’t know until the auction. There could be someone we’ve never met before who says “I’ll have that, thanks,”‘ she said.
But Luke and Jasmin’s agent Halli Moore, from Buxton Real Estate Brighton, downplayed the prospect of celebrity buyers purchasing one of the properties.

‘There are no Hughesies this year that I’m aware of,’ he told the publication.
Mr Moore was referring Dave Hughes buying Elyse Knowles and Josh Barker’s house in Elsternwick, back in 2017 for $3.067 million.
Earlier this year, the comedian listed the five-bedroom home for rent at $2,000 per week.
But he had previously rented out the property for a rumoured $3,000 per week in early 2018.

In the past, Hughesy admitted he regretted buying the home after finding out it wasn’t worth the price tag.
He told Stellar magazine in February 2018 he was ‘annoyed’ after the bank valued the property at ‘much less’ than the hefty $3million he’d paid.
‘I went to get a bank loan the other day and they haven’t valued it the same as I paid for it, which is fine, but annoying because there were five bidders,’ he said.
Although Hughesy didn’t disclose how vast the difference in price was, he said it was enough to leave him frustrated.
