Studio 10 host Sarah Harris, 39, reveals the REAL reason why she shed a whopping 6kg

‘I didn’t want to snap back to my pre-baby body’: Studio 10 host Sarah Harris, 39, reveals the REAL reason why she shed a whopping 6kg during her year-long body transformation

Studio 10 host Sarah Harris has spilled the secrets behind her impressive 6kg weight loss following her year-long body transformation.

In a new interview with Stellar Magazine, the 39-year-old explained that her newly slimline figure was not a result of wanting to snap back to her pre-baby body but to feel ‘stronger’ physically and mentally.

The mother-of-two said: ‘Carrying two heavy boys had put a huge strain on my back. Last year, after quite a while of having my back taped, I started running and strengthening my core. This is the only body I’ve got, so I want to take care of it’.

Sarah, who is mother to sons Paul, 4, and Harry, 2, added that ‘body image issues’ had ‘affected her mental health in the past’ – so she didn’t want to transfix on a number on the scale.

‘I’m in awe of what my body has done. I’ve not only grown these two awesome kids but birthed them as well.

‘Women are phenomenal. We have to get off our own backs. If I can pass that on to the sisterhood, that’s one of the lessons I’ve learnt.’

The broadcaster revealed that she shed the weight by taking up pilates and working with a personal trainer.

Meanwhile, it’s been almost two months since Studio 10 debuted its new-look lineup with Sarah and co-host Tristan MacManus at the helm.

And while the pair have yet to deliver a surge in ratings, Channel 10 bosses recently said that they’re confident the numbers will grow.

‘We’re encouraged by how the show is evolving,’ executive producer Tamara Simoneau told The Sunday Telegraph on October 25.

Tamara emphasised that while format changes always take time to resonate with audiences, Studio 10 is destined for greatness.

‘Tristan has done a fantastic job settling into the co-hosting role with Sarah Harris and we’re confident the momentum will continue to build over the coming months,’ she insisted.

Studio 10 underwent a dramatic overhaul in August amid a swathe of network budget cuts, which saw panelist Kerri-Anne Kennerley made redundant.

Former Dancing With The Stars judge Tristan joined the show on September 14, attracting 54,000 metro viewers.
