Kyle Sandilands proudly admits he’s ‘obsessed’ with his new pet crabs and spent ‘three house just watching them at home’
He has repeatedly made it known he’s an animal lover.
But nothing appears to have delighted Kyle Sandilands more than his new pet hermit crabs.
The 49-year-old gushed over his new pets on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, saying: ‘Yesterday, I was mesmerised. I sat home watching these crabs for three hours.’

Kyle began the segment by announcing: ‘I am the new dad of some hermit crabs!’
His co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson replied: ‘He’s got an obsession with hermit crabs…’
Kyle had brought his new pet with him into the studio for Jackie and their producers to see.
On Tuesday’s instalment of his KIIS FM radio show with Jackie ‘O Henderson, the 49-year-old gushed about the new additions to his family, saying: ‘Yesterday, I was mesmerised. I sat home watching these crabs for three hours’

When Jackie didn’t look impressed, Kyle said: ‘You said your child loved hermit crabs!’
She replied: ‘They live on the bathroom counter… you’re not sure which one is a shell and which has a crab inside.’
‘You’ve got an obsession with the crabs thing. Like, I know you love pets, but you don’t talk about them like you do these crabs.’
When Jackie appeared to be less than pleased, he said: ‘You said your child loved hermit crabs! Jackie replied: ‘They live on the bathroom counter… you’re not sure which one is a shell and which has a crab inside’
Kyle agreed, saying: ‘Yesterday, I was mesmerised. I sat home watching these crabs for three hours!’
He then continued to show off his hermit crabs, which were situated in an enclosure.
Kyle said that the enclosure came with an app, a thermometer and various other features to help raise hermit crabs.
