Singer Troye Sivan’s long-awaited wax figure is set to debut at Madame Tussauds Sydney next month… and a select group of fans will have the chance to be the first to see it

Troye Sivan’s highly anticipated wax figure will debut at Madame Tussauds Sydney next month.

It was announced on Thursday that the 25-year-old singer’s waxwork will be on display to the public from December 11.

But a select group of fans will be able to view the work a day earlier on December 10, with Madame Tussauds Sydney holding a competition.

‘To celebrate the grand unveiling, Madame Tussauds Sydney is rolling out the red carpet for 20 of Troye’s biggest fans and their plus one’s to a private viewing of the wax figure at 4pm on 10 December 2020,’ they said in a press release.

The lucky fans ‘will also receive a special pre-recorded message from Troye Sivan’. 

Troye was fitted for the wax figure in February this year, with sculptors taking painstaking measurements of his body and features.

‘I’ve got an exciting announcement to make… I’m going to be a wax figure,’ he told his Instagram followers at the time. 

The figure stands at 173 centimetres – Troye’s actual height – and is part of ‘Sydney Live’, a new ‘immersive space’ designed to make fans feel like they’re at a gig.

The waxwork will also feature an ‘interactive’ element, which ‘allows users to create their own personalised artwork’.

‘Troye Sivan is coming to Sydney and we can’t wait to see how fans react to his realistic wax double,’ said Madame Tussauds Sydney General Manager, Richard Dilly.

It’s the only wax figure of the My My My! singer anywhere in the world, and will be exclusive to Madame Tussauds Sydney.
