Joel Creasey arrived in Sydney on Monday, just hours after the border between NSW and Victoria re-opened.

The 30-year-old comedian cut a casual figure and donned a protective face mask as he strolled through Sydney airport.

The I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star looked stylish in blue jeans and a black T-shirt.

He completed his ensemble with a pair of comfortable black sneakers and also wore sunglasses.

Joel carried a black backpack and another bag in his hand as he walked through the airport.

It’s unclear whether the comedian will be travelling to Dungay, a rural town in north-eastern NSW to appear as a guest on the new season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Channel 10 announced that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the show had been forced to relocate from the South African jungle to rural NSW this year.

When contacted by Daily Mail Australia, a Channel 10 spokesperson said: ‘That’s a seriously funny guess. Stepping foot into the Aussie jungle for a second time is no laughing matter.’

‘Or is it? One thing’s for sure though, you’ll be the Last One Laughing when all is revealed on Sunday, January 3.’

Meanwhile, Joel’s arrival comes as the first flights from Victoria into New South Wales landed as the border fully opened for the first time in more than four months.

The border opened a minute after midnight on Monday morning – finally allowing Victorians to freely visit NSW for the first time since July 8 without having to go into quarantine.

It was shut by NSW in July to stop the spread of COVID-19 as Victorians hunkered down to deal with a second wave of the virus.

Police and military checkpoints were established along the border with thousands of cars stopped daily.
