I’m A Celebrity 2020: TWO campmates will be booted from the series

Monday night’s edition of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will see two stars leave the series.

The dramatic double elimination is set to rock North Wales’ Gwrych Castle after parasport athlete Hollie Arnold and actress Ruthie Henshall were voted off the show on Friday and Sunday respectively.

The ten remaining celebrities competing for the title of King or Queen of the Jungle are Russell Watson, Vernon Kay, Jessica Plummer, Shane Richie, Victoria Derbyshire, Giovanna Fletcher, Jordan North, Sir Mo Farah, AJ Pritchard and Beverley Callard.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘They’ve got no idea, and all the stars will be shocked when Ant and Dec tell them tonight.’

The plush Versace hotel in Australia is normally home to the contestants after they leave camp.

But this year, they’ll have to make themselves at home at the Carden Park hotel in Cheshire which is just an hour’s drive from the current venue, where the series was filmed for the first time amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Viewers saw stage star Ruthie, 53, depart the ITV programme during the latest episode. 

On her departure, the TV star held back tears as she anticipated reuniting with her daughters Lily, 17, and Dolly, 15, stating: ‘I get to see my girls! As a mother you just think about the things you do wrong, not the things you do right.’  

The Cats star – who shares her children with her ex-husband, musician Tim Howar, 51 – detailed her short stint to hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, declaring: ‘That was brutal. I can already taste my burger.

‘You have absolutely no control in there, the rollercoaster of emotions is ridiculous. You start thinking about things that you haven’t thought about in years, but everyone is there is so delightful and there was a real camaraderie in there.’

The artist didn’t hold back by sharing revelations in the camp as she confessed to sleeping with ‘lovely bloke’ Prince Edward inside Buckingham Palace.

Admitting she didn’t believe she’d be candid on the series, the West End star said: ‘It was Shane [Richie]! He asked me all the questions. I thought I wouldn’t spill the beans. I felt like I was having a chat with a mate, but only afterwards you think of the ramifications.

‘I felt that I go into the outside world and I’m Ruthie, and that’s not really totally who I am. I felt today the most myself than I have this whole time.’

Earlier in the week, Paralympic champion Hollie, 26, said in her exit interview: ‘I’m devastated. Yeah. But one of us has to go, right? Honestly, that was the best experience I’ve ever had. 

‘I never really knew what to expect, so it was just like, ”Go in there, and enjoy single minute of it”. It’s a crazy opportunity for me, and to meet those 11 amazing people … I can’t thank them enough, I love them. I miss them already, I really really do.’
