Frankie Bridge makes her debut as a Loose Women panellist

She has appeared on the popular ITV daytime show many times during her career in the Saturdays and as a presenter and author.

And Frankie Bridge made her official debut as a Loose Women panellist on Thursday’s episode of the show.

The songstress, 31, admitted to feeling nervous about her first time on the illustrious panel, with the show that day hosted by Christine Lampard.

Frankie said: ‘I feel like I’ve been around you guys, I’ve been on the show so many times and as I’ve become more confident as a person, I know my opinions, but I’m a bit nervous guys!

The star was also played a cute message from husband Wayne, 40, and their sons Parker, seven, and Carter, five, with the trio wearing matching pyjamas.

‘Hey babe, just a quick message to say good luck today, I know you’ll be absolutely brilliant. Enjoy it, don’t tell the ladies too many of our secrets and bad habits. Anything you want to say boys?

Parker and Carter said: ‘Good luck mummy, we love you’ as an emotional Frankie smiled.

For her first show as a panellist, the star discussed the backlash she received when she posted a snap of her sons using iPads in a restaurant back in August.

The star posted the super honest image on her Instagram account and dubbed it ‘the reality of dinner out with the kids’.

But while the majority of her fans could relate, some of her followers accused her of setting a bad example, arguing the two youngsters should be engaging with their parents.

She said: ‘That’s kind of why I did it, not to spark a conversation or a reaction, but to say to parents who do it, look there are other parents who do the same thing.

‘I look on Instagram and see pictures of a perfect family at a perfect restaurant and kids look like they’re sitting quietly and that’s just not the reality for most parents.

‘It was me giving the nod to these ones saying, often you need to switch off, but I know that everyone’s not going to agree, and we shouldn’t feel guilty about it.

‘We’d been around London all day, they’d been really busy and they were tired, and we just wanted ten minutes peace where we could have a chat and have a glass of wine.

‘I could see people eye-rolling and tutting. I feel like as a parent I can never win but I feel like other parents judging are a bit annoying.

‘They’re not on it all the time, my kids can read books they’re able to hold a conversation I can just about get them to let me read a book to them at night!

Speaking about aspects of the pandemic with Vicky Pattison on her podcast The Secret To… – including the panic buying of items such as toilet roll – she said:   ‘I had corona, right at the beginning. I did not get the s**ts let me tell you.

‘Yesterday I just burst out crying. I was like: It is all so rubbish, What the hell is going on – I can’t believe it!

‘I went shopping and everyone is aggy, everyone is buying too much of everything. Everyone is buying toilet roll again… did we learn nothing for the last time?’
