Sarah Michelle Gellar cradles beloved new Akita puppy Kumi as she steps out for masked stroll in LA

She adopted Akita twins a couple of weeks ago.

And Sarah Michelle Gellar carried her darling new 10-week-old puppy Kumi when she emerged from lockdown in Los Angeles this Saturday.

The 43-year-old Buffy The Vampire Slayer icon was modeling a California casual look including a hoodie and a pair of sweats.

Sarah made sure to take the precaution of wearing a mask amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that has lately been hammering Los Angeles especially hard.

She has been married to Scooby-Doo hunk Freddie Prinze Jr. since 2002 and they share two children – Charlotte, 11, and Rocky, eight.

Two weeks ago she announced the adoption of her dogs and wrote: ‘Welcome to the family Kumi and Sato (they are 8 week old Akita twins).’

She added: ‘Be prepared for lots of doggie spam from me because they are beyond cute (and also because I won’t be going anywhere for awhile).’

Earlier this week she posted an Instagram selfie of herself looking radiant despite the dark circles underneath her eyes.

‘I realize I’ve been very quiet on here, house breaking [two dog emojis] is no joke. And that pic is WITH a filter… it ain’t pretty,’ she wrote in the caption.

This Friday she posted an Instagram boomerang of herself celebrating her children beginning their Christmas holidays after a semester of virtual school. 

‘Last day of remote learning #2020, so I’m going to party like it’s.. well #2020.. alone in a room by myself,’ she wrote in her caption.

‘All joking aside, thank you to all the teachers out there making this impossible situation, somehow work for these kids and their education. All of us parents are eternally grateful,’ wrote the blonde bombshell.
