Former Bachelor Matty ‘J’ Johnson dresses up as an elf to make Christmas treats with daughter Marlie-Mae
He’s the former reality star who recently revealed he would be leaving his Christmas tree undecorated this year.
But on Monday, Matty ‘J’ Johnson proved he still has plenty of festive spirit left in him.
Taking to Instagram, the former Bachelor looked cute as a button as he dressed up as an elf to make gingerbread cookies with his daughter, Marlie-Mae, who he shares with fianceé Laura Byrne.

In the images and footage shared to the social media platform, Matty was every inch the culinary whizz as he tackled a batch of gingerbread men.
‘This Christmas isn’t going to plan for a lot of people (our family included) but there’s one thing that can help… GINGER BREAD!’ he wrote.
He continued: ‘These little men are guaranteed to add some (mix) spice into your festive season. Enjoy!’
It comes after Matty J revealed he and Laura wouldn’t be decorating their Christmas tree due to having a toddler in the house.

Posting to Instagram last month, Matty J shared a funny clip revealing how he thought his tree would look, compared to what it really looks like in reality.
‘Christmas tree with a toddler – expectation vs reality,’ he captioned the video.
In the clip, Matty shared several images of perfectly decorated trees, captioning them: ‘How I imagined our Christmas tree would look’.

It then cut to a video of his daughter Marlie Mae playing with the branches of his family tree, along with the caption: ‘reality with a toddler’.
Laura and Matty J surprised fans in September by announcing that they were expecting their second child together.
While the couple are waiting until the birth to know if they are having a boy or a girl, Laura recently shared her interesting theory about the gender of her unborn baby.

She explained during an Instagram Q&A that she was getting ‘boy vibes’.
‘I’m getting very strong boy vibes, which means absolutely nothing because I also got very strong boy vibes when I had Marlie Mae. So… it’s probably a girl.’
Matty and Laura fell in love on The Bachelor in 2017 and got engaged in April last year.
They welcomed their first child, daughter Marlie Mae Rose Johnson, in 2019.
