Kate Mara keeps warm in chic brown plaid bomber jacket as she makes coffee run with her mom in LA

Kate Mara has been busy promoting her controversial new Hulu miniseries A Teacher, while preparing for the holidays.

But the Emmy nominee appears to have found some time for herself during a recent girls day with her mom.

She kept warm in a chic brown plaid bomber jacket Saturday, as she made a coffee run with mother Kathleen, during a day in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old layered the jacket, which featured a long pointed collar, over a white t-shirt with black sweatpants.

She finished the look with a pair of round tortoiseshell sunglasses, gold necklaces and some white sneakers.

Kate carried a black leather heart-shaped handbag, trimmed in silver chain, with a chain strap across her chest.

She took precautions against COVID-19 with a white face mask, as they left Blue Bottle Coffee in Los Feliz.

The native New Yorker told The Wrap of the controversial show: ‘Some people are definitely going to feel uncomfortable watching the show. It wasn’t something that we made thinking that it would be a super-easy watch. Comfortable is not the word we were going for.’

Mara added: ‘I don’t think you normally see the story told from this perspective or this point of view. It was one of the reasons why I was excited to tell it…

‘And I think it’s because it isn’t something that people necessarily want to talk about. The fact that it’s a female doing the abuse and being the groomer and all of these things I think is also something that is rarely discussed.’
