Bella Thorne treats her family to a lavish vacation in Tulum as she says ‘this has been a dream’

Bella Thorne is ‘grateful’ that her fame and fortune has allowed her to treat her family to a lavish Mexican vacation.

The 23-year-old actress – who first found fame on Shake It Up – has had a blossoming career that has afforded her the privilege to shower her loved ones on her own dime.

Sharing a bunch of snaps from her time in Tulum where she and her family rang in the new year she said, ‘this has been a dream of mine my whole life,’ while adding that everyone had been ‘covid tested.’

Fame and fortune: Bella Thorne, 23, shared snaps from her lavish Tulum vacation as she said she was ‘grateful’ she was able to fly her whole family out to ring in the new year together

‘I got to fly my whole family and team out to Mexico this has been a dream of mine my whole life.’

‘I’m so so f***in thankful and grateful only person missing in my bro Remy who lost his passport. Ps (yes everyone was covid tested like so many times on this trip).’

She continued to comment on her own post, ‘I LOVE MY FAMILY. I worked my whole life to be where I’m at and I couldn’t have done it with out my family and my crew getting me to the next step every time.’

The extravagant vacation certainly came with a steep price tag as she flew mom Tamara, sisters Dani, 27, and Kaili, 28, boyfriend Ben Mascolo, 27, her mom’s boyfriend Ross, and her team of at least three people to Tulum, via private jet.

The family traveled to Cancun first ahead of the new year before jumping down to Tulum where they spent the majority of the week.

Upon arriving they have been staying at the four star O’Tulum hotel which averages about $200 a night.

While in Mexico they have been seen dining at at celebrity hotspot Catch in Playa Del Carmen and going on excursions like boating and go-karting in the jungle, with Thorne revealing they even had access to a private beach.

Additionally she seems to have grown close with a new pal as she has been spending extended amounts of time with famed fitness influencer, Jen Selter, who has also been along for the ride – though presumably on her own dime.

Thorne’s predilection for Mexico as an idyllic vacation spot  is two-fold.

She initially came down for a virtual New Year’s Eve event with Diplo – which technically constitutes as a work obligation – and additionally her Italian-born boyfriend also faces travel restrictions to the US, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite her mentioning the covid testing that took place amongst her circle, fans were still quick to hit out at her for the callous travel post – especially as Los Angeles county is in full lockdown mode with scarce resources due to the unmanageable amount of positive cases.

‘Ok but u wouldn’t have had to get covid tested SO MANY times if you would’ve just stayed home?????,’ one fan wrote.

Unnecessary travel: Though  her trip to Mexico came on account of a work obligation as she hosted a virtual New Year's Eve event with Diplo, Thorne preceded to stay with her family which angered many fans

Bella replied, ‘I’m happy to have my family all together. It’s been a while. If you know me… you know that.’

Like many celebrities who seem to have no regard for the rampant pandemic, Thorne fled her LA home in favor of a country with loosened COVID-19 restrictions.

Prior to flying to Mexico she and her family spent time in Big Bear, which has now been flagged as a virus hotspot.

Two cases of the more contagious B117 strain of Coronavirus were found there on January 1, after a household member came in contact with a traveler who returned from the UK in December.

Safety first: Despite the seemingly unnecessary travel Thorne shared she had provided her family with many covid tests as she shared a photo of herself getting a test ahead of traveling
