Netflix recently announced its ambitious goal of releasing at least one movie a week in 2021.
And on Thursday, the subscription streaming service dropped a trailer for the upcoming comedy thriller I Care a Lot, that’s headed to the platform on February 19.
The film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, is basically a vehicle for British actress Rosamund Pike to steal every scene from co-stars Dianne Weist, Peter Dinklage, and Chris Messina.
Rosamund Pike is at her icy blonde best as a professional grifter who makes a living as a legal guardian for the vulnerable elderly in upcoming Netflix comedy thriller I Care A Lot
Pike, 41, stars as Marla Grayson, a woman who makes her living serving as a court-appointed legal guardian for the vulnerable elderly.
Whilst maintaining that she simply ‘cares a lot’ for her clients, she, in fact, milks them for all they’re worth while outwardly appearing to serve their interests.
Her modus operandi is to place her clients in assisted living facilities and then sell off their belongings while pocketing the proceeds.
