Rihanna shared recently found photos from a road trip to the National Civil Rights Museum on Tuesday on Instagram.
The 32-year-old singing superstar posted several pictures for her roughly 89.5 million followers of her summer trip to the museum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The complex of museums and historic buildings is built around the former Lorraine Motel where Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated in April 1968.

‘finally found em’…. got cabin fever last summer and took a road trip to Memphis. MAN… I can’t describe the feeling that came over me, you gotta go to experience it for yourself! #MLK,’ Rihanna wrote as a caption.
One photo showed Rihanna wearing a mask as she stood under a tall Lorraine Motel sign lit up at night.
She gazed downward with one hand under her chin and the other dug into her pants pocket as she appeared to be deep in thought.
Rihanna in another snap stood next to a museum kiosk and looked back while gesturing toward a white round wreath that marks MLK’s approximate place at the time of his assassination.

Rihanna shared the photos a day after the United States celebrated Martin Luther King Jr Day, marking the January 15 birthday of the slain civil rights leader.
King was shot at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis on April 4, 1968 and he was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he died about an hour after the shooting.

President Ronald Reagan signed the federal holiday into law in 1983.
Rihanna can be seen on the cover of the January-February issue of Essence magazine that hit newsstands Tuesday.
