Bindi Irwin shares a sweet message as she prepares to welcome her first child

She is set to welcome her first child with her husband, Chandler Powell, in the coming months.

And on Wednesday, Bindi Irwin shared a sweet message of gratitude on Instagram as the couple prepare for the arrival of their baby daughter.

The 22-year-old wildlife conservationist thanked her fans, friends and family for all their support throughout her pregnancy.

‘Sharing our deepest gratitude to YOU reading this message as we get ready for our daughter to arrive,’ she began her post.

‘The support we have received from your kind comments, Chandler’s family in Florida, mine in Oregon, friends across the globe, our amazing Australia Zoo family – it means the world to us.’

She continued: ‘Baby Wildlife Warrior is already so loved and we are eternally grateful. With all my heart, thank you.’

Alongside her message, the daughter of the late ‘Crocodile Hunter’ Steve Irwin shared a photo of herself cradling her tummy as she posed in her daughter’s nursery.

Bindi and Chandler announced they were expecting their first child together in August last year, and revealed a month later they were having a girl.

Last week, Bindi thrilled fans on Instagram when she showed off her bare baby bump for the first time.

Bindi shared a photo of her husband, Chandler, kissing her belly.

She also included a throwback photo of her parents, Steve and Terri Irwin, striking a similar pose when they expecting her brother, Robert, in 2003.
