Captain Tom Moore’s legacy will be celebrated with special April 30 event on what would have been his 101st birthday as daughter says funeral ‘would have had him bursting with pride’

Captain Tom Moore’s life will be celebrated with a special event on what would have been his 101st birthday.

His daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore took to Twitter today to share a message of thanks for the ‘continuing support and compassion’ the family has been shown following the death of her father. 

Captain Tom, who was laid to rest at a small family funeral service on Saturday, died with coronavirus on February 2 after being admitted to Bedford Hospital days earlier. 

Ms Ingram-Moore today revealed that her father’s ‘life and spirit’ will be commemorated with a worldwide event on April 30 – what would have been his 101st birthday.
