Celeb Spellcheck RETURNS to Instagram with cryptic post just two weeks after deleting the account

Celeb Spellcheck is BACK! Notorious ‘snark’ Instagram page shares cryptic post with followers – just two weeks after deleting the account because it became ‘too big and powerful’

Influencers across the nation gave a sigh of relief when gossip account Celeb Spellcheck announced it was permanently deleting its Instagram two weeks ago.

But on Tuesday, the notorious ‘snark’ account – which garnered over 160,000 followers – made a very cryptic return to the social media site, sharing an image of one of the Olsen twins making her way through paparazzi with no explanation.

The mysterious account owner – who has always remained anonymous – didn’t allow comments on the photo, and shared no caption alongside it.

Guess who’s back! On Tuesday, Instagram ‘snark’ account Celeb Spellcheck shared its first post in over two weeks – despite announcing it was being permanently deleted

Yet within an hour, the snap had raked in well over 5,000 likes from fans no doubt eager to see if it would be a more permanent return.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Celeb Spellcheck for further comment.

The hugely popular account was created several years ago, with the intention of mocking celebrities for making typos in sponsored Instagram posts.

But it later transformed into a platform for holding influencers to account for their lies and irresponsible behaviour.

The page’s administrator, a Melbourne woman in her late twenties, announced she was shutting down the page on April 11.

‘This account has become too big, too powerful and too time consuming for me to enjoy running it anymore.’

Over: 'There is no scandalous reason behind this decision - I'm not being threatened, sued or controlled in any way,' the account wrote two weeks ago, after announcing it would be shut down for good

They continued: ‘I will be permanently deleting the account tomorrow.’
