Molly-Mae added: ‘I’ve never thought of myself as insecure, but I must have been to do that.

‘I was 17 when I first got my lips done, and it scares me to think that if I have a daughter in 10 years’ time, what it might be like for her.

‘We need to stop normalising filler, with things like ‘Kylie Jenner [surgery] packages.’

She added that she ‘sometimes forgets’ how young many of her followers are, and joked she is ‘surprised’ some of the girls messaging her have phones.

The star, who currently has 5.5million Instagram followers, started building her brand at a young age and ‘consistently cared’ what her feed looked like.

Molly reveals she had already gained 8,000 followers by the time she was 16, and ‘was making a fair amount of money from it’.

However, many people warned her against going on Love Island for this reason in case the public weren’t fond of her.

Deciding against their advice, she entered the villa in Majorca in 2019 for the fifth series of the show, where she coupled up with beau Tommy Fury, 22.

The pair came second in the final, and Molly said she was overwhelmed with work offers after she left.

She said: ‘I’ll never forget how many people wanted to work with me. They brought me flowers and one offered me a car, even though I couldn’t drive. There were huge [financial] figures being thrown around.’

And the star, who said she has ‘never wanted an ordinary life’ and is living ‘every girl’s dream’, isn’t worried about her career coming to an end.

She said: ‘I don’t, because I’ve worked really hard to protect myself from that. I’m able to look after my family now, and I bought my sister a car last Christmas.’

Since leaving the show, her and Tommy have went from strength to strength, and Molly believes they are ‘soulmates’.

She said: ‘My parents love him. We’re cringey and mushy, and I like it like that. We know we’re going to be together forever.

‘People speculate that we break up all the time – if Tommy doesn’t like one of my pictures on Instagram, I get DMs asking about it. But we’re so content, like two peas in a pod.’

After leaving the show, the couple have praised the aftercare, saying they have ‘stepped up their game’ and joke they were sometimes ‘contacted too much.

She added: ‘The welfare team couldn’t have done more for me. They offer counselling if you need it, and I can imagine they’ll improve even more for the next season.’

Molly has also revealed she is a homebody, and added her ‘dream evening’ is a night spent at home ‘watching Harry Potter with Tommy’.

The star said: I’m not fazed by socialising and clubbing or going on girls’ holidays, and I don’t really drink alcohol. We go for walks and eat at TGI Fridays. We don’t try to be boujee.’
