BBC Breakfast’s Carol Kirkwood has revealed she has found love and has described her secret boyfriend as the ‘best thing that’s ever happened to me’.
The weather presenter, 59, who split from husband Jimmy in 2008 after 18 years of marriage, kept coy over the identity of her new man, but described him as ‘extremely handsome’.
In an interview with Prima Magazine, Carol said she doesn’t know if she would ever remarry but revealed her partner has made her the happiest she’s ever been.

‘I don’t want to say too much about my boyfriend, but I will say that he is very kind and very funny – he’s always making me laugh. And extremely handsome, as well,’ she said.
‘He always makes me a cup of tea before I go to work in the morning, which is very romantic – it’s 2.45am.
‘And he often leaves me a little love note for when I come home from work. That, to me, is worth a million red roses.’
