England’s defeat at Wembley broke the hearts of fans all over the nation.

It looked as if it was going well as Luke Shaw scored early for England in the first two minutes of the tense game but Italy equalised with a goalmouth scramble in the 67th minute.

But after a tense period of extra time, England lost out in a penalty shoot out as Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka missed crucial goal attempts that led Italy to victory.
