Naomie Olindo reflected on her heart-wrenching split from boyfriend Metul Shah, one day after her agent Paul Desisto confirmed they called it quits. 

While the 28-year-old Southern Charm alum did not elaborate in detail on the cause of their breakup, she alluded to her partner being unfaithful. 

‘Nothing will be worse than losing my dad but this is a close second,’ she captioned a teary-eyed selfie of herself in bed with her beloved cat.

In her emotional Instagram post, on Monday night, she continued: ‘Betrayal is never easy for anyone and I’m just so sorry to anyone else that has stumbled across those terrible messages.’ 

‘I’m absolutely positive I will regret posting this tomorrow but so many of you have reached out saying you’re feeling a similar pain. I’m so so sorry,’ she went on.

‘I have self-respect and will not be getting back together with him, but he is also in a terrible place dealing with the consequences of his actions,’ she added.

Again, Olindo reiterated to followers not to  ‘be mean’ to her ex, who ‘is human’  and that ‘this situation is punishment enough’ for him.   

Speaking of her navigating the end of her three-year relationship, Olindo said she was ‘so thankful for all of the support’ she was receiving from her followers.

The former couple’s parting comes not long after they moved together from South Carolina to New York City. 

Her agent told People on Monday that they ‘are no longer together,’ and ‘she is back in Charleston and plans to stay there for the time being.’

On social media, Olindo had removed the majority of her Instagram photos alongside Shah earlier this month, and the one-time couple are no longer following one another. 

The fashion designer and anesthesiologist, 30, had recently moved to New York City after she parted ways last year with Southern Charm. Last year, he said on Instagram that he was continuing his career at New York’s Weill Cornell Medical College with a fellowship.

Prior to their move to the Big Apple from South Carolina, the former couple had embarked on a yacht vacation with pals to Antigua and Barbuda.
