Melissa McCarthy knows how to support an ailing friend.
This week the Heat actress, 57, shared a video where she was seen on a busy street as she held up a sign that read: ‘Honk if you’re PTAYING for Mariska Hargitay’s recovery!!!’
Hargitay of Law & Order: SVU fame has been recovering from surgery after breaking her ankle.

Melissa’s star power was not involved in the stunt as she was wearing a mask that would have made it impossible for passersby to recognize her.
She was jumping around energetically on the sidewalk and getting fully into the spirit of her kindhearted gesture.
‘If you can’t produce quality care for your friend after ankle surgery, the next best this is obviously standing outside Wienerschnitzel with a sign,’ she captioned.

She has been starring as NYPD detective Olivia Benson on Law And Order: Special Victims Unit since it began in 1999.
