Charlotte Church wows in ruffled skirt and sequins as she belts out new song The River Is Us during world’s first ever live documentary
Charlotte Church was a vision on Thursday when she belted out her new song The River Is Us during Rivercide – the world’s first ever live documentary – from her Welsh home.
The 60 minute broadcast, hosted by George Monbiot, highlighted the devastating effects of river pollution in the UK, with Charlotte, 35, calling the crisis ‘a really shocking state of affairs’ while promoting the doc on This Morning earlier in July.
Showcasing her stunning vocals, doting mother Charlotte performed a song written by Welsh poet Own Sheers while wearing a striking ruffled skirt teamed with a glittering sequined shawl.

Flanked by talented backing singers, Charlotte was in her element while exhibiting her impressive range of vocals from the comfort of her sprawling abode.
The star wore her long brunette hair loose and teamed her skirt and shawl with a stylish sequined top.
The hit-maker went barefoot for the performance, and gave her followers a peek into her beautiful Dinas Powys home.
It comes a week after Charlotte revealed her ten-month-old daughter’s name is Freda Simone.

The singer secretly welcomed her baby daughter in August last year with her husband Jonathan Powell.
Speaking on This Morning earlier in July, Charlotte said her daughter’s name for the first time and admitted she is still having many sleepless nights.
The hitmaker said: ‘She’s delicious, little miss Freda Simone.
‘She’s almost 11 months now and she still is causing me some serious sleepless nights still.’

Charlotte jokingly added: ‘I’m about to get on the blower to a sleep specialist.’
The singer appeared on the chat show to promote Rivercide.
Speaking about her passion for the environment, Charlotte said: ‘It’s a really shocking state of affairs.

‘The ecologist has been at the bottom of bringing this amazing documentary out next Wednesday. Every river in the country is polluted and the majority of that is being done by farms.’
Charlotte, who is also mother to Ruby, 13, and Dexter, 12, with her ex Gavin Henson, gave a rare glimpse of her little one in an Instagram video she shared in June.
She showed off her sprawling garden in the grounds of her £2.5 million South Wales home in the heartwarming clip.

Charlotte checked on the progress of her fruit trees, revealing she was growing blueberries, pomegranates and strawberries, before panning the camera over to her ‘beautiful big blueberry’, her baby daughter, and nestling up against her cheek.
Charlotte then stepped up to the luscious green lawn where a little egret – a small, white heron – could be seen strutting around amongst the greenery.
Charlotte first announced she was pregnant to fans in March 2020.
