Snooker star John Higgins has put his luxury mansion up for sale and hopes to pot offers of over £825,000.

The Wizard of Wishaw’s villa, which sits beside the River Clyde in Bothwell, Lanarkshire, boasts five bedrooms and a detached games room.

Higgins’ private practice room features a full size snooker table and photographs charting key moments of his highly successful career along with a cabinet packed with trophies.

Another picture shows a plastic toy of the player sitting on top of a toilet underneath a mirror emblazoned with the Celtic FC crest.

The four-time world champion, 46, lives in the house with wife Denise and their three children but it is not known where they plan to move to once the property is sold.

A source said: ‘This is a fantastic property for someone to get their hands on.
