Denis Burke missing from Concord Hospital – police launch search

Frantic search for frail pensioner, 78, who vanished from a hospital and hasn’t been seen since

  • NSW Police are searching for frail man missing from Sydney’s west 
  • Denis Burke was seen at a hospital in Concord on July 18 before disappearance
  • There are concerns for Mr Burke’s welfare as he has a medical condition 
  • Mr Burke was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket and black jeans 


A frantic search is underway to find a frail man who went missing from Sydney’s west. 

Denis Burke, aged 78, was last seen at Concord Hospital on Sunday 18 July and hasn’t been seen since.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command were contacted and have conducted inquiries.

Police have concerns for Mr Burke’s welfare as he has a medical condition.

Mr Burke is known to travel on the rail network and to frequent the Sydney CBD.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion and grey hair, and is about 175cm tall with a thin build. 

Mr Burke was wearing a black puffer jacket and black jeans when he was last seen.
