The Bachelorette’s Angie Kent shares stark warning for new Bachelor Jimmy Nicholson and reveals how he can beat the reality show’s infamous ‘curse’
Angie Kent has given this year’s Bachelor Jimmy Nicholson a stern warning.
Penning a letter for Yahoo! Lifestyle on Friday, the 31-year-old beauty revealed that there is a ‘Bachie’ curse, which involves some bad luck for rose-giving Bachelor and Bachelorettes in the long run.
‘There was this Bachie curse that I was told when I picked Carlin for my first date,’ she began to explain.

‘You should never pick the person you really like for the first up, as the first date pick never makes it to the end.’
The former Bachelorette went on to admit that while her relationship with her season’s winner Carlin Steritt didn’t go the distance, it was a valuable experience.
‘Well, didn’t we prove them wrong. Carlin was my first date and my last date on the show,’ she said.

‘It might not have lasted in the real world for as long as I hoped for but hey we broke the Bachie curse and my heart (sad one). So that counts for something surely.’
In June last year, Angie broke up with Carlin after less than a year together.
‘I think both of us a little bit [different]. I’m always myself, but he got to see [me] full throttle and I was stressed after the show too,’ she told Kyle and Jackie O of the truth behind their split.
‘He was very religious, so he had these ideas that I could, should be a certain way, when I wasn’t.
