What’s her secret? Natalie Imbruglia, 46, looked like she’d hardly aged a day in 30 years as she flaunted her youthful visage in an Instagram Story for BBC Two on Tuesday

She sported a radiant foundation base with a hint of mascara, as well as peachy cheeks and a glossy pink pout.

She said of her memories of 1996: ‘I was in a basement flat in Chelsea [in London], scraping together pennies to pay the rent.’

‘And furiously songwriting for what would be my first ever album release in ’97. Things worked out okay,’ she added.

Her debut album, Left of the Middle, catapulted her to worldwide fame.

Her catchy single Torn, which was originally written by American band Ednaswap, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

But the former soap star lost to Celine Dion’s hit My Heart Will Go On.

She has gone on to release five more studio albums, has starred in films, and made judging appearances on the British and Australian versions of The X Factor.

She recently told the Spinning Plates podcast she’d given other women her personal phone number so she could counsel them during the stressful IVF process.

‘I think what’s important on the journey is to have support,’ she said.

‘So, if I ever meet even strangers at a dinner party and they’re talking about wanting to do IVF, I give them my number and say “ask me anything” because it would have been really nice to have that.’
