MAFS Australia: Nasser Sultan is dumped by girlfriend Engy El Salawy

EXCLUSIVE: Married At First Sight star Nasser Sultan is DUMPED by girlfriend Engy El Salawy – who accuses him of ‘doing anything to stay famous’

Outspoken former Married At First Sight star Nasser Sultan has been dumped by his girlfriend of two years, Engy El Salawy.

Engy, 39, confirmed the break-up to Daily Mail Australia on Monday, saying Nasser’s desperate pursuit of fame was the reason for their split.

‘I used to get embarrassed because of him. He would do anything to be famous,’ she said of the 53-year-old former music promoter.

‘He lives in a bubble and life is short for that,’ said Engy, who hails from Sydney’s western suburbs.

Engy explained that despite being in a relationship with Nasser since mid-2019, he asked her to keep their romance secret so he could capitalise on his fleeting fame.

‘I tried for two years and he just doesn’t want to take it serious. He is looking for a reality show and followers,’ she said.

Nasser told Daily Mail Australia he was the one who ended their romance, adding that Engy ‘didn’t understand’ his obsession with fame.

‘I have a mission and I just want to keep going as a celebrity,’ he said.

The reality star went on to say Engy was a ‘high-maintenance girlfriend’ who would always be ‘hours late’ when they planned to meet.

‘I hate people being late. You don’t go to the beach [with] four different bikinis and bronzer when it’s thirty degrees outside,’ he said.

Nasser said he’s now looking for someone who understands ‘he needs to be a star’ and isn’t worried about having children.

The socialite was paired with Gabriel Bartlett on Nine’s Married At First Sight in 2018.

The couple didn’t make it to the end of the experiment as they struggled with intimacy and Nasser’s unwillingness to compromise.
