SAS Australia viewers SLAM Koby Abberton after he was put in charge of the other recruits

SAS Australia viewers were left unimpressed after Koby Abberton was put in charge of the other recruits during Wednesday’s episode.

Many fans took to Twitter in disbelief after Koby, 42, was appointed ‘duty recruit’ by directing staffer Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox.

After being told he was in charge, Koby – who has emerged as this season’s most divisive character – confidently walked back into the dormitory. 

‘Hey, guess what, gang? I’m now duty recruit. I’m the boss,’ the notorious Bra Boy told the shocked recruits.

And many viewers at home complained about Koby and his surprising promotion on Twitter.   

‘Anybody else hate #2?’ asked one viewer, referencing his number, while another wrote, ‘All Koby heard was ur in charge and then nothing’.

Added another: ‘Surprised Koby isn’t chillin out on a bed watching them all work’.

Others criticised the former professional surfer after he stated: ‘Leaders lead by leading.’  

‘Thanks for that pearl of wisdom Koby,’ tweeted one viewer, while another clarified, ‘Leaders lead by example, not by just “leading”‘.

After tasking the recruits with sweeping the dirt floor of their dormitory, Koby got into a heated disagreement with Jana Pittman.

The 38-year-old athlete-turned-doctor asked Koby to clarify his instructions, prompting him to accuse her of being ‘p**sed off’. 

‘Sometimes in life, you go into a position where you’re paid to do a job, and if they’ve got authority over you, you must listen to authority,’ he later said.
