The Block: Tanya Guccione labels Ronnie and Georgia Caceres ‘power trippers’

Jealousy rages on The Block as bitter Tanya Guccione labels Ronnie and Georgia Caceres ‘power trippers’ after winning another challenge

Ronnie and Georgia Caceres took out the Domain Listing Challenge on Tuesday’s episode of The Block, giving them the power to choose the auction order at the end of the season.

But this advantage did not sit well with Tanya and Vito Guccione, who raged about the injustice of it all on Wednesday.

A jealous Tanya, 39, told producers: ‘I think what I’ve seen from past contestants it’s actually been pretty tough having that type of power.

‘But knowing Ronnie and Georgia, they’re power trippers, they’ll love it,’ she added bitterly.

Love Island twins Luke and Josh Packham also weren’t pleased with the fact the Faves team had won their third challenge of the season.

The brothers took aim specifically at the couple’s long video presentation and speech, saying it exceeded the ‘short and punchy’ brief.

Josh said: ‘When you keep giving money to people as good as Ronnie and Georgia, then they can put more into their rooms week in [and] week out, it becomes incredibly hard to try to beat them. So hard.’

As as result of their Domain Listing Challenge victory, Ronnie and Georgia are now eight points ahead on the leaderboard.

‘Unless we royally stuff things, it’s safe to assume we’re going to choose auction order, which is the ultimate power in the end of all of this,’ Georgia said.

While she gave no hint as to who she would be putting in favourable spots in the auction order, she acknowledged there was an obvious division among the cast.

Too tough: 'When you keep giving money to people as good as Ronnie and Georgia, then they can put more into their rooms week in [and] week out, it becomes incredibly hard to try to beat them, so hard,' Josh said

‘I don’t like the term “alliance” because I don’t like it to feel like we’re excluding people, she said.

‘But I think a division happened when [houses] three and four decided not to play by the rules and compromise everybody on The Block,’ Georgia added, referring to the Gucciones and the Packhams respectively.

‘Actions have consequences and it would seem that this division is one of those consequences,’ she concluded.

Georgia was referring, of course, to the ‘whiteboard-gate’ cheating scandal at the start of the season, which saw Tanya, Vito, Josh and Luke docked points.

The Block continues Monday at 7:30pm on Channel Nine
