Tyron Woodley was ‘forbidden from knocking out Jake Paul’ in his fight contract, claims Dillon Danis.

The Bellator welterweight and long-term training partner of Conor McGregor made the outlandish statement and insists it is the reason why Woodley did not finish Paul.

Paul, a YouTuber-turned boxer, defeated the former UFC welterweight champion by decision back in August.

‘Tyron Woodley, from what I heard, had it in the contract that he was not allowed to knock out Jake Paul,’ Danis said on the MMA Hour.

‘I swear on anything, when he was against the ropes, I swear, that’s why when Jake Paul was against the ropes, Tyron Woodley didn’t hit him

‘I’m telling you right now. It was in his contract where it said you’re not allowed to knock him out.’

Danis is notoriously outspoken on social media and has been known to make outrageous statements for clout so this theory will be taken with a large pinch of salt by fans.

The 28-year-old underwent a second knee surgery and is recovering ahead of what he hopes will be comeback next year.

He has engaged in a war of words with Paul for some time but his next fight will almost certainly be for Bellator.
