Potential buyers of Sander’s home are understood to have been told the price guide for the November 18 auction is around $10.5million.

The magnificent 1500 square metre property is a classic example of the French-inspired architectural feel of Hunters Hill’s high-end trophy homes.

It features French country estate-style balconies, ornate detailing and antique fireplaces, terraces and signature hedgerow-lined and tree-lined avenues.

The magnificent property also has a glamorous step-in courtyard swimming pool with huge Mediterranean cabana and its own adjacent kitchen.

The downstairs of the main house comprises family, living and dining areas, while the bedrooms are all upstairs.

Interiors are a stylish blend of traditional and contemporary, including wood panelling and parquetry flooring and an ultra modern tiled kitchen with skylight.

The bedrooms are all upstairs and make use of timber floors and ceilings.

The property also has a fully-equipped guest house with master bedroom on the top level.

There’s also a huge attic, extra store rooms, a wine cellar and a workshop.

The rich and famous, including Cate Blanchett, Delta Goodrem, Kyle Sandilands, property magnate Lang Walker and former Treasurer Joe Hockey, have called Hunters Hill home for decades.

Goodrem was said to have irritated her well-heeled neighbours by playing her own music too loud before she sold up and bought a Darlinghurst apartment for $4.8million in 2019.

Hollywood star Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton sold their Hunters Hill mansion for $18million in 2017.

Kyle Sandilands and Imogen Anthony are believed to have bought Mr Hockey’s 1905 $8million mansion ‘Te Roma’ in 2019.

Mr Hockey sold his home and bought a historic mansion nearby for $8million.
