Arsenal are reportedly ready to make a fresh move for Swiss international midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Borussia Monchengladbach star has entered the final year of his current contract and will be available on a free transfer next summer. 

The 24-year-old will be free to start negotiating with overseas clubs in the New Year and Arsenal are on red alert, according to The Sun.

Manchester City, Barcelona and Juventus have also shown an interest. 

Zakaria replaced the suspended Gunners midfielder Granit Xhaka during Switzerland’s Euro quarter-final clash with Spain in the summer.

He is regarded as the Arsenal midfielder’s long-term international successor.
