Tristan Thompson is sponsoring a Halloween-themed event for underprivileged children in Los Angeles Friday in a collaboration with the nonprofit organization Alexandria House.

‘This is a small way to express my support for the work Alexandria House does for our community,’ the 30-year-old NBA player told TMZ, ‘and I am grateful to be in a position to help my community celebrate the holiday.’

The event held by Thompson and the organization will give the participants costumes and candy and feature games, arts and crafts and face painting among other activities, the outlet reported.

The Sacramento Kings player will not be able to be there in person, as his team is playing a road game in New Orleans Friday.

Alexandria House’s founding director Judy Vaughan told the outlet that ‘it is a major significance that Tristan Thompson is not only providing a fun day for impoverished families but is also giving a national platform on homelessness, the housing crisis and the difficulties in healing from trauma and becoming stable.’

The Los Angeles-based organization, which has been established for 25 years, is focused on providing ‘safe and supportive housing for women and children in the process of moving from emergency shelters to economic stability and permanent housing,’ according to its website.

Thompson earlier this week took to Instagram to share an image of his kids Prince, four, with ex Jordan Craig, and True, three, with Khloé Kardashian, as they visited an arcade.

Thompson wrote, ‘Let me love you a little more, before you are not so little anymore,’ with the hashtag #MyEverything.

Khloé, 37, responded to the post, ‘They are so beautiful and sweet!!!! So so blessed!!! What angels!’

The NBA player and reality star, who have an on-and-off relationship, parted ways in June, with a source telling People in August that the pair ‘continue to keep things friendly’ for the sake of co-parenting.

‘Regardless what happens with Tristan, Khloé wants True to know that both of her parents love her tremendously,’ the source said.
