Abbie Chatfield says she doesn’t want to appear on another reality TV show ‘ever again’ – after landing a hosting role on Love Island Afterparty

Abbie Chatfield has revealed she isn’t keen to appear on another reality TV show after finding fame on The Bachelor back in 2019.

In an interview with Yahoo! Lifestyle on Tuesday, the 26-year-old Love Island Afterparty host said she’s thoroughly enjoyed her new role.

‘It is weird being in this other position now and seeing the other side of it a little bit. I guess it’s different because it is a talk show where we want to have everyone be comfortable and fun and happy,’ she explained.

‘The only thing I really get in my ear is you know, “next question is”, or a bit of guidance in how to take the conversation, but yeah, it is really interesting, and I feel like an actual TV host.’

She added: ‘It makes me not want to do a reality TV show ever again.’

Abbie said she’s even found herself working alongside one of the producers who also worked on The Bachelor in her new role.

Following her stint on The Bachelor, Abbie went on to appear on Bachelor in Paradise followed by this year’s season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, which she won.

She was announced as host of Love Island Afterparty in September, and at the time said she was ‘absolutely BUZZIN’ to be hosting the show.

‘I’m a big reality TV fan, a big Love Island fan. And I think Channel Nine love me!’ she told 9Entertainment shortly after the announcement.

‘I’m looking forward to offering a different perspective than I guess other potential hosts could have.’

She added: ‘I may have a bit more empathy for people that are maybe not as liked by the public, but I can also have some insight into how these things tend to work.’

The show sees Abbie dissect the latest drama, romance and heartbreak from the Love Island villa, as well as host exclusive interviews with dumped Islanders.
