  • FC Twente fans have once again gone viral for remarkable beer carrying antics
  • Recently one supporter was seen cradling an incredible stack of 48 pints
  • Now, another fan has gone one better and carried a total of 64 to thirsty friends

Fans of Dutch outfit FC Twente have once again gone viral for their incredible pint-carrying exploits, after a supporter was seen cradling an incredible stack of 64 pints of beer through the stands.

Unlike in the UK, Dutch football regulations permit supporters to consume alcohol in the stands while enjoying the match, and some fans certainly make the process of getting from the bar to their seat very efficient.

The photo of a fan somehow accommodating a multi-story stack of cardboard cup holders, brimming with pint glasses, quickly went viral online.

The club’s official Twitter account even replied to the tweet with a series of pint symbols, after remarking upon how impressive the feat was.

The unnamed fan has bettered the recent attempt of another Twente fan, Christiaan Roetgering, who earlier in the season was seen ferrying 48 pints to his seat.

At the time Roetgering had delightedly revealed he did not spill any of the beers on his way back to his mates, but did admit that Saturday’s achievement was not a record for the most beers carried at an FC Twente match.

The pint-carrying is becoming quite common at the Twente matches: Earlier in the season Christiaan Roetgering, 23, (pictured) went viral after balancing 48 beers in one bar trip

He told the Sun: ‘I always go to the game with a group of friends, and each time one of us has the job of getting the beers in.

‘This time it was my turn, and I didn’t fancy having to keep going back and forth to the bar. So I decided to get everything in one visit.

‘I had to carry the trays through a passageway and up some stairs, but it all went fine. But it’s not a record – my friend Jochen has managed in the past to carry 50 beers in one go.

I must have had 300 friend requests on Instagram. I was watching the highlights on TV on Sunday, and my phone just exploded.’

Another fan was seen holding a similar amount of beer at the same game, with a video showing Twente supporters cheering on the man while he was carrying the alcohol to his seat.

Football fans in Holland are allowed to drink beer in their seats after the Dutch FA lifted a ban on fans enjoying alcohol when they are in view of the pitch in 2018. A similar relaxation of the same rule is being considered in England at the moment.
