Victoria Police release CCTV in search of thieves who stole $14k swimming pool in Geelong

Bizarre moment a massive 7-metre long swimming pool worth $14,000 is STOLEN in the middle of the night with crafty crims going to extreme lengths to pull off the impressive heist

A seven-metre long swimming pool has been stolen in a brazen late-night heist with the cunning thieves using a large truck to transport the goods.

The fibre glass pool was stolen from a construction site at on Moncrieff Cres in Wandana Heights, Geelong, sometime between 10.30pm-11pm on October 20. 

Victoria Police released CCTV footage on Tuesday of a white truck with a crane attached to its tray approaching the construction site.

The heavy road vehicle is then seen driving off with the $14,000 pool loaded into its tray 26-minutes later. 

Police said the truck has grey/silver tape or plastic covering what may be a company name on both sides.

Two yellow ‘oversize’ signs are also located on the front and rear of the truck.

The stolen swimming pool is described as a slate colour and the brand is ‘modern pool’.
