Hugh Jackman urges his followers to go watch the new Ghostbusters movie and says that the film ‘delivers on every single level’


Hugh Jackman has described the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife film as ‘incredible’.

The 53-year-old Australian actor took to social media to urge fans of the original film to watch the new fantasy/comedy when it comes out in theatres.

Sharing a video of his reaction to the film, Jackman said: ‘I recommend watching the new Ghostbusters directed by the incredible Jason Reitman.’

‘If you love Ghostbusters and the ’80s, like I loved Ghostbusters in the ’80s Yep. I’m of that age, you are going to be obsessed with this movie.’

Hugh went on to say that he was impressed with lead actor Paul Rudd’s work in the film and that every single character was spot on.

‘I had high expectations and my expectations were exceeded. Honestly, I promise you … It just delivers on every single level. Who are you going to call? You know.’

The Jason Reitman directed film was produced by his father, Ivan, who worked on the original cult classic film.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is slated to hit Australian cinemas on January 1 and will see original cast members Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson join newcomers Finn Wolfhard and McKenna Grace.

Hugh’s movie recommendation comes just days after the actor sparked speculation that his famous Wolverine character was making a big comeback.

Uploading a photo of himself working out at the gym, Hugh flaunted his bulging biceps and ripped torso as he pumped iron while wearing a weightlifting belt.

Hugh almost looked unrecognisable as he gritted his teeth during the gruelling session.

‘Is it just me… or does this guy look like he’s in serious pain?!’ he wrote in the caption, adding the hashtags #tbh #wolverine.
