Aussie basketball star Andrew Bogut breaks suburb record as he sells his Melbourne home for ‘at least $11million’
Australian basketballer Andrew Bogut has sold his home in Beaumaris, Melbourne, for a suburb record price.
The retired NBA player received an offer that, while not publicly disclosed, is believed to be at least $11million considering he was accepting offers between $11million and $12million.
There was a lot of interest in the 36-year-old’s 401 Beach Road home and a deal was secured quickly with a local buyer, reports Listingloop.com.au.

‘As soon as the campaign went live on Listing Loop last Monday, I was inundated with interest from buyers locally, around Australia and from people overseas familiar with the location,’ said listing agent Eleisha Doherty from Kay & Burton Bayside.
The local buyer who purchased the former Olympian’s pad was especially interested in the Beaumaris region and wasted no time settling as soon as possible.
Ms Doherty said the property was a ‘unique’ listing that was always bound to attract a lot of interest.

She said: ‘401 Beach Road, Beaumaris, is such a rare and unique property listing so our strategy was to ensure we got it in front of the right, pre-qualified buyers in the fastest way possible.
‘As with any campaign, my goal is to sell quick and for the best price and I’m proud to say that together with the help of Listing Loop we did that.’
Bogut purchased the home in 2015 for $4.7million and a nearby block soon after.

The property has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and basement parking for up to 16 vehicles on a massive 2370 sqm lot.
There is also a subterranean wine cellar and tasting room, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a home cinema, fitness centre, steam rooms and a sauna.
Bogut previously told the Herald Sun his main reason for moving was privacy concerns, but admitted he would miss the home.

‘I just wasn’t comfortable with people knowing exactly where I lived… that was the main thorn in my side,’ he said.
The former Golden State Warriors player said he was ‘somewhat sad’ to leave the ‘beautiful property’ behind as his family plan to move either interstate or across Victoria.
‘I’m very disappointed and we do it with a heavy heart,’ he added.
