Do you know WET time is it? Cat gives owner a rude awakening by knocking a jar of water over his head

- His cat Pikachu jumped on the headboard and rose his owner with a splash
- Buttke can then be seen suddenly jolting awake afterwards, just after 6am
This is the moment a man received a wet wake-up call when his cat knocked a jar of water over his head.
Security footage shows the cat, called Pikachu, giving owner Keith Buttke a rude awakening at 6.05 in the morning.
Buttke, of Bluffton, Indiana, can be seen jolting awake and diving out of the bed after getting the soaking.
The footage starts with Pikachu hopping up onto the headboard as Buttke and his wife doze in their bed.
The cat walks along the headboard to a mason jar filled with water and starts to poke his face into the jar.
Pikachu then looks over at his owners and nudges the jar which knocks it over the edge.
The mason jar just misses Buttke’s head as it plops onto the pillow and spills water over him.

Buttke jolts awake as the glass falls down onto his pillow and showers his head with water
He jolts awake and scrambles out of bed, as his startled wife sits up saying: ‘Woah. What?’
After the incident on November 12 Buttke explained: ‘My wife and I were sleeping peacefully, until Pikachu the cat came in the bedroom and decided it was time for me to wake up.
‘So he pushes a mason jar of water on my pillow, where my head was fortunately not available to be hit with the jar.
‘My alarm is set for 6am every day. He decided I had slept in enough.’

It would appear Pikachu is not the only cat fond of waking up their owner with a glass of water.
Last month footage captured a restless cat in Thailand giving its sleeping owner a surprise shower when it knocked a large cup of water on her head.
The video begins with the cat, which is wearing a shirt, clambering onto the headboard and drinking out of a glass perched above the sleeping owner.
The cat then jumps over the cup to walk towards a lamp. After a few seconds, it backs into the cup, sending it falling off the ledge.
It hits the owner’s head as it spills its contents onto the unsuspecting woman.
The owner then sits up in bed as water drips from her hair and onto her sheets.
