Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Mohamed Salah was ‘angry’ in the Liverpool dressing room after their 4-1 win over Everton because he missed out on a hat-trick. 

Salah scored two excellent goals in the emphatic win at Goodison Park, including Liverpool’s vital third when Everton were pushing for an equaliser.

Salah caught Everton captain Seamus Coleman in possession on the halfway line and sprinted through on goal to score.

But despite his latest heroics, Klopp’s was pleased to see Salah wanted more. 

‘He was angry after the game! He wanted to score the third one,’ Klopp explained.

‘I don’t take these things for granted. His second goal, you have to force these kind of mistakes.

‘Mo put Coleman under pressure to win that ball and from then on it is a good chance he will score.

‘We have momentum but it was by far the best performance since I’ve been at Liverpool at Goodison.

‘Before the game people told me that in derbies form or shape doesn’t count, I see it totally different.’

Salah and Liverpool will be back in action on Saturday, away to Wolves.
