Chelsea: Frank Leboeuf urges Thomas Tuchel to ‘find solutions’ or face being left in ‘no man’s land’

Frank Leboeuf warns Thomas Tuchel that Chelsea will be left in NO MAN’S LAND if he fails to ‘find solutions’ for their stuttering Premier League form… with crucial title battles with Liverpool and Manchester City on the horizon

  • Chelsea have lost ground in the Premier League title race in recent weeks
  • Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Everton has left them four points behind Man City
  • Frank Leboeuf has urged Thomas Tuchel to arrest their worrying slide
  • The Blues hero fears this year’s title battle could soon become a ‘two-horse race’

Chelsea face being left in ‘no man’s land’ in the Premier League title race if Thomas Tuchel fails to arrest their worrying slide, says former Blues defender Frank Leboeuf.

The European champions have seen their form plummet in recent weeks, with 1-1 draws at home to Manchester United and Everton and a 3-2 defeat away at West Ham putting a dent in their title bid.

Tuchel’s men, who were top of the table as recently as a fortnight ago, now trail leaders Manchester City by four points, while Liverpool are three points away in second.

If they are to run City and Liverpool close this season, Chelsea cannot afford to lose any further ground in the coming weeks – especially given fixtures against both sides are to come in the first two weeks of January.

And Leboeuf has urged Tuchel to ‘find a solution’ amid their recent decline – or risk being left behind in third.

‘We’re going to know very soon whether it’s a two-horse race or a three-horse race because Chelsea play Liverpool and Manchester City at the beginning of next year,’ the Frenchman told ESPN FC.

‘But we have to be realistic right now, the way they [Chelsea] play comparing especially to Manchester City – because I think even Liverpool are struggling as well – there is no way they can cope with Manchester City right now.

‘They have to change something, they have to have those men, the fit guys coming back very, very soon and they have to find solutions.

‘Otherwise, they’re going to be in no man’s land. They’re much better than West Ham and Manchester United, but I think they’re not as good as Liverpool and Manchester City.

‘So they’re going to be on their own, finished third.’
