ITV’s new musical game show sees acts compete for a prize pot of £500,000.

The final was won by singer Nadiah Adu-Gymafi, having Walked The Line in Thursday’s instalment after turning down a £10,000 offer to cash out.

However, viewers found themselves confused by the format of the show, which would’ve allowed a new performer to possibly win the show and the cash after just one performance and took to Twitter to complain.

One viewer commented: ‘So if one of these new acts on #WalkTheLine beats the girl who won last night…they win £500,000?? Blimey, that’s a tidy little sum for singing one song!!…or have I got this completely wrong?? Surely it can’t be that easy, can it??’

Another echoed: ‘#walktheline is like reading a mediocre book with a really lame ending. Just sing on the last show and potentially win £500k. The rest of the week was pointless!’

A third pointed out: ‘This show has had its day already. Mad how someone could turn up on the last night & scoop the jackpot if they get the vote #WalkTheLine.’
