An Australian influencer has been roasted online for her very unusual pronunciation.

Ashley Mescia, 21, told her fans via Instagram Stories on Monday that she’s dropped her car off at the depot, pronounced “de-pot”, as she’s getting it shipped from Sydney to Queensland.

Popular Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck re-posted the video to their page on Monday, captioning it: ‘I’m a little depot, short and stout.’

Called out: Australian influencer Ashley Mescia (pictured) was roasted by a popular Instagram account for her VERY unusual pronunciation of the common word ‘depot’ on Monday

In the original clip, a glamorous Ashley ran her hands through her blonde tresses and told fans: ‘Hey guys, I thought I’d give you a little update but I just dropped my car off at the “de-pot” because I’m getting it shipped up to Queensland.’

Many of Celeb Spellcheck’s fans found the post to be hilarious and the ‘giggle’ they ‘needed today’, while others described Ashley as ‘cute’.

As the likes on Celeb Spellcheck’s post increased, Ashley took to her Instagram Stories again, asking how everyone already knew how to pronounce the word.

‘How did everyone know how to pronounce depot but me? Don’t know where I’d be without social media honestly,’ she said.

Meanwhile, Ashley isn’t the only influencer to be called out by Celeb Spellcheck recently.

In late October, Sophie Guidolin was accused of duping her followers after filming a video of herself using skincare products.

The 32-year-old shared a sponsored post to Instagram for Skóra Skincare, rubbing their blemish spot remover on a pimple on the left side of her chin.

The following day, she claimed the product had worked but shared a photo of the opposite side of her face.

Brushing it off: 'How did everyone know how to pronounce depot but me? Don't know where I'd be without social media honestly,' she said
